Open the TowFinder app and enter your license plate number or
VIN in the search bar on the home screen. Tap "Search" and we'll check
government and private tow databases across the U.S. in real time. If your vehicle is found,
you'll see the impound lot location, storage fees, and contact details.
ParkSafe is a proactive feature that alerts you about local parking regulations — such as
street sweeping schedules, permit zones, and time-limited parking — so you can avoid being
towed in the first place. Enable notifications in the app settings to receive timely
reminders.
TowFinder is free to download and use for vehicle searches. We may introduce premium
features in the future, but core search functionality will always remain free.
Tow professionals can sign up for a Professional account in the app. Once
verified, you'll have access to the vehicle logging form where you can enter license plate,
VIN, make/model, color, photos, and pickup location. Logged vehicles become searchable so
owners can find them quickly.
Vehicle data is provided by tow operators and government databases. If something looks
incorrect, we recommend calling the impound lot directly using the contact number shown in
the app. You can also email us at support@towfinderusa.com and we'll
investigate.
You can delete your account from the app's Settings screen. Alternatively, email support@towfinderusa.com with the
subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we'll process it within 48 hours. For more
details, see our Privacy Policy.
TowFinder USA currently covers all 50 U.S. states. Coverage depth may vary by region
depending on which tow operators and impound lots have partnered with us. We are
continuously expanding our database.
